First week at home...

Our first week at home went really well. Aiden has slept really well, eats every 3-4 hours, and cries only when changing his diaper. Eli loves his little brother and calls for him ("Bubby") when he comes downstairs in the morning or after nap time. When Aiden cries, Eli gets a worried look on his face and points in Aiden's direction as if telling you to fix it. I haven't been home alone with the two boys yet... a scary thought right now! I have had Grams or Nanna here at the house to help me manage an 18 month old who thinks he is two and an infant who is always hungry! I am very thankful for them both!
Aiden gave us a sneak peak of what his smile will look like....
Aiden loves to snuggle
Eli loving on Aiden...so sweet!
holding his little bro for the first time...
We have tried to venture outdoors as much as we can. It seems to help Eli get out his large amount of toddler energy and gives us a breath of fresh air. Eli loves to raid the neighbors garage (thank you Raveena) for Dylan's toys.
Courtney loving on Aiden....
Raveena came over to meet Aiden on Friday.
Another afternoon of Eli raiding Dylan's toys. Grams helped him on the scooter.... way to go Eli!
Eli has become quite the little "toot and hoot". He has learned to throw better fits, give dirty looks, and entertain us with his silliness. He saw the baby walker and decided he wanted to crawl in it and roam the room....
All the changes this week made Eli need more love than ever. Here he is loving on Chelette as if he was neglected... as if!!
Aiden received lots of love too... loving on Nanna....
Another outdoor adventure was Eli pretending to drive Daddy's truck...
look at those two peas in a pod!
looking like a big boy....
Kitty Kat MawMaw came over to meet Aiden and love on Eli.
Thank you MawMaw for the goodies for Aiden!

Our first week home as a family of four was very busy. We spent a lot of time walking the subdivision and taking Eli to the park. Uncle Jamie enjoyed pushing the boys in their new stroller.

Wow! What a week! Having two boys will definitely keep me on my toes. At first I was thinking.."why in the world did I want to do this?!" Slowly but surely, I am starting to be able to answer that.... when I look at Eli and Aiden and how they make my heart flutter when they smile or snuggle with me....I know the answer.

Eli's new sandbox

The night before Aiden's arrival, Grams decided that Eli needed a sandbox to play in. While we were at the hospital, she and Jamie put it together in Daddy's office. Eli played with bristle blocks as the "pretend sand". Once we arrived home, it was moved to the back porch and real sand was put in it. Eli loves playing in the sand.... just like any toddler does!

This has two sides... blue side for water and the red side for sand. We haven't put water in it yet.... that will be a whole new adventure for us!

thank you Grams for the sandbox!

Arriving Home...

We were discharged from the hospital on Thursday, April 8th around 8am. Jer and I decided not to call and let Grams know we were on our way so we could surprise them. Sure enough, Eli was awake and playing in Daddy's office when we walked in. It sure was nice to see his smile. Our hospital stay was my first night away from Eli and it was really hard for me. As I said in my previous post, Eli and I are always together! He welcomed Aiden with smooches and hugs.

First Visitors

Aiden had several hospital visitors during our two night stay....
Our first pic as a family of four!
Gretchen stopped by on her lunch break...
Megan came by after her shift at the hospital....
Abby and Jarrett came by after work....Abby is such a natural momma! She knew just how to soothe Aiden!

Nanna introduced Eli to Aiden. This was a pic that was too precious not to post! He has learned some new "attitude" faces and practiced some at the hospital!
I am hoping this look is a "don't mess with my little brother!"
meeting Aiden....
the two Moffitt grandbabies and their grandmothers.... picture perfect!

Nanna was there for Aiden's arrival... just as she was with Eli. Daddy was glad to have someone else there to keep him company during the day of waiting.
Thank you, Nanna, for being there for us! We love you!
Mommy's school principal, Mr. Campbell, stopped by to meet the newest member of the Ellisor Elementary family.
"Thank you" for all who came to visit, called, and kept us in your thoughts. Aiden is a snuggly, healthy, happy baby boy. We are truly blessed.

Welcome Baby Aiden!!

When they placed you in my arms... you slipped into my heart
Our newest member of the Moffitt family arrived!

Aiden showed to be very sweet from the moment he arrived....

Aiden came out in style...
before his "grand entrance", Dr. Hampton gave him a faux hawk right before our last push!
At 39 weeks and 3 days, we were induced. Everything went as planned and was picture perfect of how birth should be. Aiden came out within 6 minutes of pushing and tinkled on Momma as soon as he was placed on her tummy! I call that true love! Only tinkle on those you love! haha

Last moments of just us....

Well, as you all know, I am really behind in blogging. However, I can't just move on and announce Aiden's arrival without a farewell to those "Eli and Mommy only" moments.
For 18 months it has been just the two of us...well, Daddy is here too. But Moms and Babes have a special bond. It may be just because we carry them in our bodies for 9 1/2 months then bring them into the world, feed, nurture, and love them. Eli and I have been inseparable since his arrival. He has gone pretty much everywhere with me. Very few times would I go somewhere without him on my hip or in the stroller. And oh.... I love him so much! The love that Eli and I share is immeasurable. I never knew that I could love someone so much. He brings such joy to our hearts and home. When we have a bad day, he is there to make us smile.
I cherish the moments we have had as a family of three and welcome the new adventures and times as a family of four.
Eli James Moffitt... we love you so much and look forward to those moments as a family with two loving boys to make us smile, giggle, and drive us nuts at the same time!
p.s. Thank you Chelette for taking the time to capture our special moments as Mommy and Son and soon-to-be little brother!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny arrived at the Moffitt's! When Eli came downstairs for breakfast we gave him his basket that the bunny left for him. Eli wasn't too sure of what to think of it at first... but once he started digging in the basket, he was happy!
Balls!
his very own Lightening McQueen cell phone!
This is a definite gadget boy!
Cool summer shades to go with his new swim trunks and top!
We didn't do much for Easter this year since we were thinking Aiden would arrive anytime. Grams and Uncle Jamie met up with us at the Woodlands Pavilion for Easter at the Pavilion. WE thought there would be an egg hunt after the service and there wasn't....which turned out to be okay since the grounds were wet and it was muggy out. The service was 2 hours long so Eli was ready for a nap anyway. Later in the day we played egg hunt in the house and he didn't mind!

Bubbles with Daddy

Daddy brought home a suprise for Eli....bubble machine and bubbles! Eli has finally discovered the fun of chasing bubbles and popping them.
It made for a fun Easter weekend outdoors as a family.

Keeping those ears protected

Getting tubes has been a blessing for Eli and his parents. So far, a month later, he has had no signs of ear infections! On windy days following the procedure, we put a hat on over Eli's ears. He didnt seem to mind much and looked way cute!
