Mother's Day Fun In the Sun

After our delicious lunch at Landry's, we headed out for all the fun that Kemah's boardwalk has to offer... rides, water fun, and shopping.
Eli really loved their splash pad! They even had live music playing next to it! Eli and Daddy down at the splash pad...
Throughout the day, Aiden was passed from one loving arm to the next. Here he is hanging and snuggling with Shirley, Memaw's niece.
Eli rode on the carousel several times with Daddy and Papa James... and Uncle Jamie too!

This was another of Eli's favorites. Jer rode with him... and it was a long ride! I think they were on it for at least 10 minutes! Most rides do not last that long! Eli loved it though
Eli and Daddy looking down at the family below!

This was actually one of my favorites with Eli. We rode together and flew the plane! We had a blast going up and down and all around....
Daddy and Aiden rode along too!!
stopping for a pose....
As posted earlier, Aiden was hopping from one family member to the next.
Everyone wanted to get as much snuggles in as possible.
We all took the train around the boardwalk. At one point it goes into a tunnel with some animated characters in a western shootout. This is Eli's face as we entered the dark tunnel!
All aboard!!
Peggy (Poppy) and Me... enjoying the day and train ride!
Grams and Aiden
What a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day! We were there for 4 hours of fun and family time. I hope we keep this a tradition and come back again!

Mothers Day - lunch

This was the BEST day ever! I had the most wonderful Mother's Day this year. We met up with Jeramy's parents, Peggy, Jamie, and Papa James' cousins for lunch at Landry's Seafood in.... Eli and Papa James waiting for the train to go by outside of Landry's....
Aiden was passed all around the table for some lovin'.... here he is with Poppy (Peggy)

I love my little Eli..
becoming a mother has opened my eyes to so much more in life. my other special baby boy with his Great Grandmother, Memaw!
Grams received a special gift for Mothers Day this year....look at her face!
It's a "Grams necklace" with 4 charms and each has the names of her "gram babies"
What a wonderful Mother's Day lunch!

Full Load

Saturday afternoon we drove by Aunt Debbie's house to pick up Justin and Ryan. Jeramy promised he would take them to see Iron Man 2 when it came out. It was funny to see every inch of my car full of boys! Jer was driving, Eli and Aiden in row 2, and Justin and Ryan in row 3. I can only imagine this is my glimpse of the coming years... hauling Eli and Aiden around town with all their friends... and me... the only girl in the mix!

Southern Empress

This past Saturday we boarded the Southern Empress on Lake Conroe. Jeramy's work celebrated being awarded #1 in the nation for safety by AGC.
We had a great lunch and lots of laughs aboard the boat. Eli really loved watching everyone on the dance floor. He was a little shy and would only dance over to the side and holding Daddy's hand.
They did the hokey pokey, limbo, a little hip hop, and some line dancing....
Steven works with Jeramy and brought along his new little member of the family.
Davis was born in February and is growing so fast!
When the dance floor cleared, Eli ran out and danced all alone. Then the kids came back to join him. He wasn't too keen on that. He really wanted the spot light on him.....
the Moffitt crew....
Steven, Whitney, and Davis-- beautiful family!!
I am sure we will have some baby boy play dates coming this summer.
Whitney is also a teacher so we will have the whole summer with our boys! Well as you know, toddlers like to get into and climb anything and everything.... well Eli decided that the foot bar at the bar was a great place to climb up and stand... until he fell and was stuck! We could only laugh and grab the camera! This was the look we got because we were not helping him up!!

Splish Splash with Daddy

Last Wednesday Jer came home and played in the pool with Eli.
The two had a blast splashing each other. Eli stopped to thank his Daddy for joining him in the pool!smooches for Daddy

Eli loves the water and outdoors!

Time to get up

Needless to say, some mornings are hard. Some mornings I wish the boys would sleep until noon. Some mornings come oh too soon. Well, one morning last week, I was totally exhausted after being up most of the night with Aiden. Eli woke up and started fussing so I waited and hoped he would go back to sleep.... and he did. When I went to get him at 9:30 and wake him, I found this....
(sorry for the bad picture! When I grabbed the camera, I had it on the wrong setting) Eli had grabbed everything he could and put it in his bed: a box, his nightlight turtle, his Winnie the Pooh. Then when he heard the click, this is the picture I got!!

Get me out of here!!!

Pillow Fun

Eli loves playing in piles of pillows.... and we have tons of those! Our bed has 7 pillows on it plus a body pillow and our guest bedroom upstairs has just about as many. So if you ever find yourself staying at the Moffitt Inn, you will not need to pack your own.. we have plenty to choose from!
Here is Eli playing his hide and seek game...
Where is Eli???
Before you can finish your question of where he is, he jumps out! Tadah!!!! There he is!!!
We have played this game quite a bit lately!

Our Boys

I have a monument in this world, it is my son. - Maya Angelou

Our boys bring so much joy....
Jaden puckering up for his fish kiss
and I give him mine...
all smiles.... and love....

Nanna's 50th- Part 4

Apparently, Nanna has the youth group of the church stand on a chair and sing I'm a Little Teapot to everyone on their birthday.
It was time for paybacks!
They had Nanna perform for her birthday!

Nanna's 50th- Part 3

Nanna and her Magnolia High School friends/family who were at the party. Some of these ladies have been friends with Nanna since they were in 2nd grade!
That's a lot of memories and adventures! Wow! What a flashback! The party was held at our old church in Magnolia. One of my long lost friends, Sherilyn, arrived with her family. We go way back to my 6th grade year when we met at church. We had lots of laughs talking about how rowdy we were and how mean we were to her little brother, Brian.
Nanna with the Hibners, Sherilyn's family....
well, I guess Brian is no longer "little".... haha!
Speaking of lots of adventures and memories... Chelette, Nanna, and I have lots of those together. Nanna has been there for both Chelette and I through the years... from the junior high years that Chelette was not allowed to be my friend (her moms rule: I was a bad influence... and I was!) to the bad breakups after college, to the births of our little men...she was always there for us.
Thank you Nanna for being who you are and guiding us in the right directions to become who we are!

Nanna's 50th- Part 2

Nanna's birthday party was big!
She had over 100 friends and family come and celebrate the big day with her! Aiden, Nanna, and Aunt Ann.
Aunt Ann and Nanna.
Aunt Ann is another special lady in our lives. She is always there for us and even made the trip to Jamaica with the family when Jer and I were married. She is not actually family... she is a coworker and was a neighbor of Nanna's. But through the years, she has become a part of our family. Love you both... two very special ladies!
Wow! Daddy got a pic of Aiden wide awake! He had lots to look at and check out!
Aiden also snuggled with Pops...love u Pops!
Chelette and Jaden arrived to celebrate this day.
Jaden was so cute and gave me lots of smooches (pics to come later).

Happy 50th Birthday, Nanna! (Part 1)

Today was Nanna's surprise 50th birthday party! Nanna's sisters put it together at the church and invited friends and family from near and far. It was a wonderful celebration for the lady we all love so much. She has truly made a mark in all of our lives and opened her heart and home to all.
Happy Birthday to Nanna and may your life continue to be filled with friends, family, and laughter and may you continue to live life to the fullest!
Love the cake!!
Nanna's friend from elementary, Cathy, came in for the celebration. Here they are with Cathy's hubby, sister, and niece. What a great surprise for Nanna!
Aiden loved on Nanna and wished her a happy day...
