Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!
We went to Aunt Donna's house for her annual Kids Halloween Bash.
Eli was a great sport and enjoyed all the kids and festivities.

Aunt Donna dyed her pool red so that the kids could swim in "blood"!!
The Moffitt's in costume...
Jer was a Bavarian Guy, Eli was Peter Pan, and Mommy was a wicked fairy.
Some of the kiddos swam in the pool before it was "blood"... Eli and Mommy while trick-or-treating....
Part of the "Party Crowd" out trick-or-treating...
Nanna, Jenny, Eli, Daddy, Ike, and Joy....
Happy Halloween!
Eli and Daddy at a house getting candy in the treat basket...

The last house we went to.... Eli went to the door and then tried to go inside to visit!
He loved that everyone gave him treats at every house! He finally started to figure it out!
After the trick-or-treating was over, most of the kids jumped back in the pool
The night ended with the annual cookie decorating contest... here is one of the cookies... those "eyeballs" are jello.... yuck!!

First Night Out....

Friday, October 30th, Eli's daycare had a parent's night out. Jer and I decided it was time to go on a date together. The ladies at Eli's daycare were begging for Eli to attend (they really do love him and take wonderful care of him) and it has been almost a year since Jer and I went somewhere alone. The last time we went out without Eli was Jer's work Christmas party last December...
I picked Eli up from daycare early on Friday, went home, fed him dinner... then brought him back at 6:30. Jer and I went to dinner and movie. Wow.... cant believe that the last time I went to a movie was the day before Eli was born! (I was on bedrest....shh....)
Well, Friday night, Eli refused to go to sleep while at daycare. When we arrived at 10:45, he was wide awake in the rocker chair. Poor Baby... I felt so bad... it was like he was waiting and making sure we were coming back for him! I felt terrible! (To make him feel better --and myself-- I put Eli in bed with us around 4am and he slept with his mommy and daddy)
Eli with his sitter for the evening...

Zoo Boo

Eli and Mommy went to the Houston Zoo Boo on Sunday, October 25th. Daddy went to the Texans football game with Pops so he missed out on all our fun!
I had never been to Zoo Boo before and was impressed! They had trick or treating, jack-o-lantarns throughout the zoo, activities for kids, a pumpkin patch and every kids got a free pumpkin, and lots of entertainment throughout the zoo as well as the regular observing of the animals. Please pardon the pics...I didn't take many pictures since it was just me corralling Eli through the zoo.
Eli's first tattoo!!
Eli picked his own pumpkin from the patch! (and yes.... Eli has a stroller fan....)
Eli walking through the patch searching for that perfect pumpkin!
Eli had his first taste of dip-n-dots ice cream... he loved it!
finger lickin' good!
As we were about to leave, I saw an old friend and her hubby, Jenny and Ricky. I haven't seen them in about 12 years! Here is Eli with their second son, Ashton... what a chunk and cutie!!
When we left the zoo, Eli and I went to Herman Park to play for a bit. He had so much fun! He threw a huge fit when I pulled him away to leave. He had been up all day since 12 noon and it was 4:45.... of course, he crashed as soon as we were in the car! He had a great day... we had a great day together!

Huntsville State Park

The weekend of October 24th, Grams, Pops, Jamie, Michael, and Tracy went camping at Huntsville State Park. We went to visit them for the day on Saturday. Eli enjoyed the outdoors and his new Aggie bag chair. He felt like a big boy!

Eli sat in his new chair with his music box.

Uncle Michael and Eli played in the dirt a little....

After a wonderful and filling lunch, the Moffitt's set out on a walk.... a long walk! We all stopped for snow cones before heading back to camp. Eli was very fond of the snow cones! -- see the pic at the top of the post... Eli has a blue face/mouth.

After the long walk... we were all pooped!

Jer drove us home while Eli and Mommy napped in the car!

On Sunday, October 18th, we went to the Woodlands Mall area to check out the big pumpkins Chelette told us about. (thanks Chelette!) I was still searching for that "perfect picture" of Eli with the pumpkins. It turned out to be another beautiful day and this time, Eli was in better spirits for the pictures. There were so many "perfect pics" I can't choose the best or my fave... so here are a few for you to view....

The pictures are a bit out of order... goofy me, must have loaded them wrong onto the blog! Grams ended up coming into town for the day to see Eli and Michael and Tracy's foster child. They met up with us at the mall area for lunch and a stroll along the waterway.
Eli and Daddy checked out the water play area... Eli loved the dancing water! It came up and almost hit him in the face. We explored this area once this summer with Chelette and Jaden. I can't wait to see him play in it next summer!

back to the pumkins.....

and of course.... back to the waterway!

Eli "walked" the waterway plank!

Eli and the pumpkins....

This one doesn't show his face much... but one of my favorites... I love how happy he is here with the pumpkin

Mercer Arboretum

After posting the Pumpkin Patch and Trent's Birthday, I realized that we started that day with going to the Mercer Arboretum. It was a beautiful morning and the weather was perfect! Eli explored the flowers and pathways before taking his morning nap....
Eli loved the pathways and how the bricks felt on his feet!
Mommy and Eli by the fountains in the butterfly garden....
by 11am, Eli was pooped! While we walked the rest of the paths and gardens, he took a great snoozer!

Cousin Trent's 25th Birthday

After the Pumpkin Patch, we went to Cousin Trent's 25th b-day party.
Happy Birthday, Trent! Some of the guests hung out on the back patio-- love your new furniture and decor Aunt Dian!
Eli played on the couch in the sitting room... we loved this Halloween pillow....
Momma's Boy was up really late that night.... and his eyes showed the exhaustion.
Eli loved on Cousin Heather. She is a momma too and knows how to snuggle a sleepy baby.
Gabby did not know how to snuggle a sleepy baby....
Eli loved to be in his Nanna's arms....hold me!
and then they blocked the football game from the men and watched TV.....

One thing that we have noticed about Eli.... he LOVES parties! He gets to "graze" the whole time! Everyone gives him a cracker or two. He was a little muncher the whole night!
