Wicked

Last Tuesday I went to the Hobby Center with Peggy, Jamie, and Tracy to see Wicked.
It was AWESOME!
It's a twist on the Wizard of Oz (before Dorothy comes along)
and the two witches were college roommates.
Absolutely wonderful!
I miss going to the theatre... may have to do it more often! coming up the stairwell from the parking garage....
Our original eating plans were squashed. We planned on eating at the Hard Rock Cafe but it was closed due to a private party. We ended up walking over to the Aquarium and had a wonderful and yummy meal.
Jamie and Peggy posing....
Jamie was quite impressed with this place!

Then we headed to Hobby Center to see Wicked!
my only pic of the show... camera's not allowed... but I snuck one!
After the show, we went to the back stage door. Tracy had come here after a show and got pics and autographs from the Rockett's. Sure enough, the cast came out for pics and john henry's!
Jamie and Peggy waiting....
Jamie was all about the Good Witch, Glinda!
Here he is moving his way up to the front to meet her!
Glinda and Jamie
This was mine and Peggy's fave character... the Wicked Witch!

Justin's Birthday

Last weekend we headed to Canyon Lake for Justin's birthday party.
Eli had a blast on the water slides and playing with all the kids.
Two hot mamma's! (literally!)
Eli loved playing at the bottom of the slide in the "pool" area.
Daddy had to keep a close eye on him and make sure he stayed to the far side of the pool.
Eli loved the splashing that happened when the kids came down the slide.

Birthday Boy Justin, his friend, and Eli enjoying the water....
splish splash!
Aiden hung out with Jenn's niece, Megan.
She was so awesome with the babies!
There were two water slides... a big and little....
After the party, Jeramy took a turn...

Aiden went for a dip... he wasn't too amused!
Grumps (aka Sean's dad, John) went for a turn as well!
He had paparazzi all around when he climbed the slide.
Everyone wanted to capture the moment!
He said it was a little rough on the rump!
Also, Eli took to Grumps instantly. He has always loved Grumps but it had been a long while since they saw each other last. Eli and Grumps were two peas in a pod the whole weekend. Wherever Grumps was, Eli was too. It was his own grandpa for the weekend!
At the end of the day, the coolers were dumped and the boys found some entertainment.... throwing ice and playing in it. Justin even put some down his own pants and ran around like a crazy man laughing. It cracked us up because you could hear the "cling clanging" as he ran by!

Eli loves dogs... but not up close!
He would call the dog, put out his arm for Harley to lick it,
then throw a fit because she did!
Eli loved climbing aboard the 4 wheeler all weekend...

It was a super long day and Eli ended it with running around in the backyard....
this kid was like the energizer bunny that kept going, going, and going!

Back to the museum.....

Whew! Looking back at this week really wears me out!
We went back to the children's museum on Friday.
Three straight days of nonstop fun!
This time, Penny and Maddie didn't join us... it was Chelette, Jaden, Amie and her little girl, and Tracy with her two kiddos. Eli loved the trains this time...

After this playdate, we went to lunch, then home for naps and packing for our trip to San Antonio. We left the house at 5pm to meet Daddy in Waller and then head to visit the McGarity's!

Safari

Last Thursday we loaded the cooler with drinks, the kids in their carseats, and the DVD in the player and headed to Alvin for the wildlife safari!
Miss Pearl (my sequoia's name) had 2 tots, 1 babe, and 2 momma's loaded in her cab!

This is the "ride" we took through the safari...
love how he crossed his legs....
pretty intense...
This is an actual zonkey... half zebra, half donkey!
telling her all about the animals...
I love these blackbuck antelope!
Penny and Maddie had a grand ol time!
4 horned sheep
This llama posed for momma!
Maddie checking out the giraffe's... I didn't get a good pic of the giraffe...bummer!
Both tots were impressed with the zebras!
The kids fed the animals... Eli wasn't too sure of the camel...

Does this deer belong to Santa??
It was a long and hot day!
We left the safari and both kids fell fast asleep!
We planned on a picnic somewhere near by and decided to let them sleep.
We even took a drive through Ellington field to look for a picnic table nearby to watch the planes... no luck!
We ended up in a Kroger parking lot eating lunch in the car since it was 3:30 and we were starving!
