On Saturday morning we headed to San Marcos to check out Aquarena Springs. Jer went there as a kid when the mermaids and swimming pigs were a part of the attractions. They are no longer there... but the glass bottom boats and the springs are still something to check out!
We saw a few of the thousands of springs that form the headwaters of San Marcos river.

We stepped inside the aquarium and Eli was amazed at the big fish!
We really enjoyed the glass bottom boat. Eli kept saying "row row" as we floated across the water...
This submarine was once the underwater theatre. Back in 1997 they stopped the theatre show because it was leaking. By the looks of the pictures it was really cool. They had "mermaids" that ate and drank under water and a swimming pig!

We went to Wonder World later that afternoon...
