Eli visits Magnolia High

Eli and Mommy visited Magnolia High to bring Chelette some goodies for Jaden. It was Senior Cake Signing day and Eli loved the smell of the vanilla cake! It was a day for the Seniors to fill out what their plans are for college and get a piece of cake.
He was adored by many passing by students and faculty members. He then went to Chelette's office (College and Career Center) and decided that he would "sign" for SFA where Mommy went. (Although Daddy prefers that he attends Texas A&M like him)
Mr. Hibner, the Senior Class Assistant Principal, snuggled Eli as well. Mommy was impressed how Mr. Hibner grabbed the GermX before she even had to ask him to!

Eli went to Mommys school to meet her friends on Monday. He even had his first official visit to the principals office where he received his first swats!
I sure hope this keeps him in line for a while! Eli with Mommy's switch class-- Mrs. Wilson's homeroom

Weekend at the McGarity's

Well, we survived our weekend away! We arrived Friday evening around 8:30pm at Sean & Jenn's (& "big boy" Justin's) house in Canyon Lake. Their new home is absolutely beautiful! Dean even came to hangout on Saturday night and we all took an "excursion" thru the woods. Eli hung on tight to mommy in the BabyBjorn as she climed a little hill while Mr. Dean was sliding down in in front of her!
Justin had Jeramy wrapped around his finger all weekend. Anytime he asked Jeramy to play a game, he did it. Also, Justin was also very fond of Eli. He was a great help in burping Eli and even checked on him from time to time as Eli slept in his pack-n-play. I can't wait to see the two of them playing together in a few years in the woods and building forts! Jenn and Sean both bonded with Eli and spoiled him rotten. He received lots and lots of smooches and snuggles from both.
Sad to say-- I am a TERRIBLE mommy! I took only a couple of pictures Friday night when we got there and never picked up the camera again! I only took a couple of pics of Sean holding Eli for the first time. By the time I remembered to take pictures, we were already in the car and loaded up in the driveway to leave on Sunday. So here are the only shots taken this weekend..... next time, I will focus on catching those memories on film.

Have Baby... Will Travel

Eli and Mommy have been on the road a lot lately. At 7 weeks old, he is a great travelin' man! On Monday, we made a road trip to Beaumont to see Papa James. He had an apendectomy last Friday and was in the hospital. Papa James is doing better and will hopefully go home this weekend.
Here is Eli telling Grams that he really, really hopes Papa James gets well soon
Tuesday, Eli had his first playdate in Liberty at Lizzies house. Lizzie and Eli are only 4 days apart. Lizzie, Eli, and their mommys went to eat at Chili's and then went back to the house to hang out.

Last week, the two met for the first time. They went to Olive Garden for their first lunch date
This weekend, the Moffitt Trio will be traveling to Canyon Lake/San Antonio to visit the McGarity's and their new "mansion".
Eli does great in the car...... he snoozes and sometimes Mommy can hear his snoring from the drivers seat!

6 weeks and a rash, oh my!!

Eli and Mommy met Auntie Di at Babbins for lunch on Wednesday. He was so good in the restaurant and was staring at all the big fish hanging from the ceiling.

Mommy had peanut butter for the first time since the beginning of her pregnancy. She had indigestion every time she had it while Eli was in the womb so she only tried PB twice. Monday night, Mommy had PB for the first time since Eli was born and oops-- now he has the HIVES!! He went to visit Dr. Vadala today and was told to keep an eye on it and no more peanut butter-- Eli must be allergic! Poor baby! He seems to feel fine. He has been a happy camper all day. He just has this ugly red rash all over.
see the red rash on the neck, face, arms?? Poor Baby Eli

Happy Halloween!

Eli's first Halloween! We will take him trick-or-treating next year... this year, we handed out candy.

Time Flies!

Can you believe that Eli is one month old? It seems like it was just last week that we brought him home from the hospital. I guess time flies when you are having fun!

Eli has grown so much and changes every day. He has developed an attitude (wonder where he got that from??) and he hates waking up in the mornings. It takes him atleast 20 minutes of grunting, groaning, and stretching before he can even attempt to open his little eyes. Sometimes I lay there and watch and giggle.... sometimes, I join in --and, I myself, try to avoid waking up!

Eli has had a wonderful month of visitors and snuggles. Chelette brought her new bundle of joy to visit, Jaden Thomas Michael Stephenson, and the two boys bonded. Eli even went on a weekend trip to Waco for a wedding. He met Pa (his Great Grandpa in Waco) and received the sweetest kisses ever! When he came back, he had a week of Grandma's.... first Nanna, then Grams! He had a grand 'ol time with them.

Eli had a major "hungry hippo" week or so-- between weeks 2 and 4.... growth spurt and I had to dip into our "supply closet of milk" because I couldn't keep up with his every hour to 45 minute feedings! We are now over that -- thank goodness!! I plan to take him for a weight check this coming week. I cant wait to see how much he has gained! His little pot belly is too cute & his thighs are filling out.... not so chicken legged anymore!
