Big and Little

I feel so blessed to have such beautiful and perfect baby boys!
Jeramy and I took them out for big and little bro pics this Sunday. Eli was such a sweetheart when Aiden cried.... he went over to soothe him and rub his head.
Of course, we had one little crazy adventure with a grass snake (UGH and AGH!!!) but we survived and had a few giggles in the end (well Jer actually did, not me, I was too freaked out!)
Here are a few pics of my precious boys....

Eli making a run for the door when we said we were going outside!

The colors turned out weird because we were in the shade...

Monday Fun

Daddy took off of work Friday and Monday for two weeks to spend some time with the boys. We tried to make the days as fun as possible as well as relaxing. We took Eli to the Woodlands Waterway Splash pad this past Monday (4-26-10) and then had lunch together.
What a beautiful and perfect day!!
It seems that all of the pictures that I take of Aiden, he is asleep or in the stroller. I guess that really proves that we are always out and about with him! He has been a true trooper! At three weeks of age, he has been to several parks, a birthday party (sorry we forgot the camera), about 5 restaurants, and the waterway.
This little man is definitely one to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!

Look at this! Jeramy is about to splash water in Eli's face! What a meanie!!
When the water hit his face, he came running over to me to let me know!
Eli was shivering at one point because the wind picked up and yes, the water was a bit cool.... but it didn't stop him from playing in the water!
cruel... just cruel!!We really enjoyed our long weekend with Daddy. We don't get that much... and with summer time coming, we hope to get a couple more long weekends with Daddy.
We have so many adventures ahead!

A new little waterhole to play in...

This past Saturday we went to a new park by our house. It has a beach area along the creek that is pretty clean and clear for the kids to play in. Eli did not like the sand between his toes! Jeramy, Eli, and Uncle Jamie
Daddy helping Eli get use to the sand between his toes and the cool water...
Eli soon relaxed and enjoyed the water. Here he is starting to splash everyone.
Papa James getting his fishing line ready....

Momma and Aiden sat along the beach area in the shade.

Bubble Wrap

Eli had his first official experience with bubble wrap! Daddy purchased a new piece of furniture for our entryway. Jeramy took the wrap outside for them to jump on so I grabbed the camera to catch the two in action! Jer going for the runway!
the two at play....

Our new buffet/side table...now where are we going to put our Christmas tree??!!
During all of the bubble wrap fun, Aiden snoozed on the couch!

Eli is having a blast!

Eli is really enjoying Momma being home on maternity leave! We have been spending a lot of time outdoors. Everyday we take a stroll in the neighborhood and go to the small park around the corner from the house. When Grams was here, we took trips to local parks in Spring so we could play on bigger playgrounds. As of this week (4-27-10) I am on my own with the boys. I am extremely grateful for Grams to come help me on my first weeks at home to adjust. She really helped us get into the groove of things.
So far, so good for it just being us 3 at home during the day! I am really enjoying this time with my boys as well and love watching Eli love on Aiden every chance he can get.

This is Eli yelling "Momma" to get my attention.. he is a camera hog!

fish bowl face!!
This is another one of Eli's new toys... golf clubs!

Aunt Debbie and Family

Aiden and Eli have had lots of visitors lately.
Aunt Debbie, Megan, Ryan, and Sidney came over to meet Aiden. Sidney loving on Aiden
Sidney and Eli are 5 days apart.... she is the oldest... and bossiest! haha!
The two had a great time playing with all the toys and Eli's fort.

Aiden - 2 weeks old

I took Aiden to his 2 week check up today (4-19-10) with his pediatrician. All went well and Aiden has grown so much already!
He weighs 8 lbs, 8.5 oz and is now 21 inches long!

Daddy @ Work

Daddy's work is building a new Spring Volunteer Fire Department just outside our subdivision and Daddy was the estimator. The groundbreaking ceremony was last Monday, April 12th so we went to see Daddy at work. Eli was super excited to see Daddy and get close to a firetruck. Charles (Daddy's coworker) loved on Aiden....
Brookstone workers posing for a picture... Daddy is on the far right
Grams and Eli watching the ceremony

First week at home...

Our first week at home went really well. Aiden has slept really well, eats every 3-4 hours, and cries only when changing his diaper. Eli loves his little brother and calls for him ("Bubby") when he comes downstairs in the morning or after nap time. When Aiden cries, Eli gets a worried look on his face and points in Aiden's direction as if telling you to fix it. I haven't been home alone with the two boys yet... a scary thought right now! I have had Grams or Nanna here at the house to help me manage an 18 month old who thinks he is two and an infant who is always hungry! I am very thankful for them both!
Aiden gave us a sneak peak of what his smile will look like....
Aiden loves to snuggle
Eli loving on Aiden...so sweet!
holding his little bro for the first time...
We have tried to venture outdoors as much as we can. It seems to help Eli get out his large amount of toddler energy and gives us a breath of fresh air. Eli loves to raid the neighbors garage (thank you Raveena) for Dylan's toys.
Courtney loving on Aiden....
Raveena came over to meet Aiden on Friday.
Another afternoon of Eli raiding Dylan's toys. Grams helped him on the scooter.... way to go Eli!
Eli has become quite the little "toot and hoot". He has learned to throw better fits, give dirty looks, and entertain us with his silliness. He saw the baby walker and decided he wanted to crawl in it and roam the room....
All the changes this week made Eli need more love than ever. Here he is loving on Chelette as if he was neglected... as if!!
Aiden received lots of love too... loving on Nanna....
Another outdoor adventure was Eli pretending to drive Daddy's truck...
look at those two peas in a pod!
looking like a big boy....
Kitty Kat MawMaw came over to meet Aiden and love on Eli.
Thank you MawMaw for the goodies for Aiden!

Our first week home as a family of four was very busy. We spent a lot of time walking the subdivision and taking Eli to the park. Uncle Jamie enjoyed pushing the boys in their new stroller.

Wow! What a week! Having two boys will definitely keep me on my toes. At first I was thinking.."why in the world did I want to do this?!" Slowly but surely, I am starting to be able to answer that.... when I look at Eli and Aiden and how they make my heart flutter when they smile or snuggle with me....I know the answer.
