sorry for the lack of updates

I am so sorry for those of you who look daily for updates. I am several weeks and adventures behind. I will get it updated this weekend. PROMISE! The last day of school is Thursday and I have to work a bit on Friday. We will be leaving for our (almost) 2 week family trip to Arkansas next Sunday. It will be just the 3 of us... first family trip for the just us.
Eli is growing fast.... we are having to put the swing up in the attic this weekend. It no longer swings with his heavy self in it! Eli is on his 3rd time of having croup since March. I will be taking him to the ENT in June to check it out and see what we need to do. This time he came down with croup less than 20 days since the last croup. (and less than 12 days since antibiotics)

Well, pics and adventures to come.....just hang on a bit!

Snuggles with Willow

Eli and his kitty Miss Willow bonded this weekend as well. She decided that she would take on the job of keeping his boppy/pallet warm. As soon as we laid it on the floor in the living room to put Eli on it, she hopped right on and started snoozing! Eli decided to try to join her on the boppy!
He played her some tunes on the piano!
This little "ditty" is for you, Miss Willow!
Let's see.... what other song shall I play for you?

My first watermelon

Eli had watermelon for the first time this weekend. After letting him suck on a piece, I put some in the mesh solid feeder for him...
Introducing the solid food feeder.... about 5 minutes later he had it in his own hands and watermelon juice everywhere! What a mess, but what fun!

Highchair!

With Eli acting like the incredible hulk, we decided it was time for the highchair. He started stretching out his body in the bumbo chair and arching his back. We were afraid he was going to flip it over... so out came the highchair! He likes it so far!
I also gave Eli a teething biscuit. He liked it... but didn't like the messy hands part so much. He found a way to lick/gnaw on it by using his bib!

What else does Eli do when he is sick?

Eli likes to lay in bed and watch TV!

Snuggles with Daddy

Eli spent a lot of time snuggling with Daddy this weekend.

This is a pic of Eli snuggling with Daddy tonight. When we got home today, he played in his jumper and also played his piano. He tuckered out at 7pm tonight in Daddys arms.... too cute!

I may be sick.....

but I keep on smiling!
These are pics of Eli from this weekend. On Friday he wasn't feeling so well. On Saturday morning, he seemed to feel a bit better so out came the camera! He was pretty happy all morning... then the monster came as the evening neared! I don't know if it was the steroids or what, but he became a toot! Very demanding... very needy..... and wanting to be left alone all at once! I felt so bad for the booger. I called him my little incredible hunk-- he even growled and stiffened up his body and arms! Here are the happy moments of our sick little man.

What a week!

Eli had quite a week last week! From sitting in traffic for 4 hours, to getting a "mommy day" on Thursday, to getting sick on Friday! I had to stay home on Thursday due to a reaction to medicine -- I am ok-- no worries! Then on Friday morning, Eli woke up with a cough-- not any ol cough-- a "croupy" sounding one! Jer had caught Eli a couple times in the night sleeping with his mouth wide open, so I was hoping it was just dry throat. I took Eli to daycare and dropped him off and warned them of the cough. At 9am, I ran back to the daycare to bring him yogurt -- one of his faves and snapped some shots of him enjoying his day. Around 10:30am, daycare called and his cough was worse. They thought it was croup-- long story short... Jer picked him up, took him to the doc and yep! Eli had croup! He is on steroid-- prednisolone... or however you spell it. So far, so good-- he seems to be doing much better now.
