I see teeth!

Eli is teething and two teeth have broken thru the skin! The drool faucet started again last week and he has been a bit cranky. On Saturday I rubbed his gums and felt a bump on the lower gum line. I checked again on Monday and saw that he had 2 teeth side-by-side that had broke through the skin! They are just "nubbs" but enough for him to play with them with his tongue.

Monday Madness!

Eli had a very adventurous day on Monday, July 20th. We met up with Auntie Di for lunch at Babins, met up with Chelette and Jaden for some shopping, and that evening went to Incredible Pizza for Uncle Will's birthday. The pics uploaded all crazy and out of order... so bear with me!

Jeramy loved on the babies too... oh they are so precious! I want another!! They grow so fast. These Finch babies are so adoreable...and so is Miss Clara... I wanted to take her home with me!

This video is too cute... we were about to leave so Clara went to smooch Eli goodbye. She took out his pacifier and kissed him... then put it back in!

Bubbles and Books

Grams came to visit and watch Eli July 15-17th so I could go to a Math Conference in Houston. Michael came over one evening for dinner and played with Eli..... books and bubbles...loads of fun!

Where else are you suppose to blow bubbles? The kitchen of course!

Ice cream love.....

Eli had his first ice cream cone! He was in hog heaven!

Poppy Time!

Poppy came over to visit Eli when she came back from her trip to Michigan. We all three had ice cream time together... see next post!!

Dr Seuss

I have always like Dr. Seuss but for some reason, LOVE it now. I am having a lady make a platter for Eli's 1st birthday with several Seuss characters. She is also painting his rocking chair that Grams gave him with Seuss characters all over. Needless to say, Eli will be having a Dr. Seuss 1st birthday.
The platter has Eli's footprints as the "fox in socks" feet.

eli wasnt too sure of what we were doing to him...

I can't wait to see the final products! They should be done in a week or so.

I will post pics when I get them

A Walk in the Park

My goal for the summer was to take Eli to all or most of the parks in Houston... not happening! It has been sooo hot! We ventured out a few times to Meyer Park (which is my fave) but Eli's cheeks were so red and hot within 20 minutes. Eli and I have gone on a few bike rides as well but I worry about him getting too hot. We have now ventured to the gym setting where he plays with other kids in the "kids club" and I work out. I am really wanting Fall to come sooner rather than later so Eli and I can enjoy our walks and bike rides together again.

At Meyer Park, the squirrels run up to you expecting you to feed them. This one was really interested in Eli. look closely... the squirrel is to the right of the stroller.

Waco Trip

The Moffitt's took a trip to Waco on July 10th weekend to visit Gram's side of the family. Eli had a great time. On our first night there, he decided to show everyone that he could crawl. To see his first crawl video, go to the post labeled "Eli is on the move"momma's little man....

uncle Ray and Tatum
Jer brought his game Carcassonne
Eli spent some time with Pa
tatum played in the basket-o-toys
cousin Drew messed with Eli's blocks
Eli rocked with Grams late Saturday night. At one point Grams had both Tatum and Eli in her lap.
We went to see Jer's cousin, Amy's house, in Robinson. Loved the house and what a huge yard they had-- I think it was almost one acre... congrats Coy and Amy on the house!
We had a great visit to Waco. We had a shopping day on Saturday, crawling all over the house Saturday evening, and a wonderful lunch before we headed home. Thanks Waco Fam for having us over to visit. We had a great time! Love you all!
