We will miss you Maddie O!

Today was Maddie's last day at daycare. They had a little surprise waiting for Penny when she went to pick her up this afternoon. Eli loves you Maddie! We will have to plan some playdates... besides your birthday party that is next weekend! Maddie, Mommy, and the Daycare gang
Maddie came to the hospital with her Mommy the day after Eli was born to meet him. The two have had a wonderful time hanging out together at daycare and exchanging "goo goo-- gah gahs"

Lots of cute little outfits for Maddie O

helping her mommy open the farewell gifts....
This was a photo album of all of Maddie's friends at daycare. When they made it home, Penny called me and said that when Maddie turns to the close up of Miss Diane, Maddie kisses the picture.

Friday night smiles

Eli came home from daycare in a wonderful mood. He had a 3 hour nap at daycare so he was well rested and full of smiles. I laid him on my bed for a moment and he started smiling and talking. This little man has learned what to do when there is a camera near! Mommy's Lucky Charm
His bib always seems to spin around and look like a cape-- I guess its his superhero cape!?
Getting ready for another meal with a spoon! This time it went smooth. He is really catching on! He loves those sweet potatoes
Gotta love those bumbo chairs

lets try those solids again!

I have attempted feeding Eli solids again this week. This week Eli has tried bananas and sweet potatoes. He seemed to really like the sweet potatoes the best. Last night he had 1/2 a jar of sweet potatoes, 2 oz thick cereal in a bottle, and 7 oz of formula! This boy can eat! Jer and I thought that since he ate all of that, we would get a full nights sleep.... we were wrong! The little booger woke up around 2am ready to eat again! Eli hasn't made it a habit yet of sleeping through the night. He gives us that little gift about once a month. Otherwise, he just gets up once to eat... usually around 2 or 3 am.

Hangin' out with my peeps

Eli seems to really enjoy his daycare. In the past week he has managed to poop, pee, and spit up all over two of the 3 ladies! They still love and smooch on him! Here are a couple of the pics of him at daycare.
Eli and Miss Meghan-- she really loves Eli. Even when I come to pick him up at the end of the day and we are about to walk out, she asks to hold and smooch him bye one more time. I am very thankful for the ladies at daycare. They make me feel good about leaving him all day to go to work.

On the door to the infant room are all these cute little leprechauns!
Here is Eli the Leprechaun!
Eli and Maddie at the table-- is this a first date???
I LOVE these tables with the little babys legs hanging down!

Eli with Maddie again... the two have spent alot of time at the table together?!

Getting smooches from Miss Meghan... I told you that she loves my little man!
His smile tells me that he loves her too
Hanging from the ceiling are stars and mobiles of planets. Eli loves to stare up at the ceiling and check out all the bright colors and stars.

Mommy's Boys....

Last Sunday Jer and Eli were both wearing camo so I decided to
get some shots of them in the yard.
Both boys are the light of my life. The sun was coming through the fence but I still love this pic

Hangin' with Daddy

Aunt Debbie and Eli

Aunt Debbie came over to visit with Eli. She needed her "Eli fix" as she calls it. The two played while Daddy worked in the yard and Mommy graded papers. (Thanks Debbie!) He modeled his hat for her
Mommy and Debbie worked on getting Eli to eat solids with a spoon! He has been eating cereal (thick) in a cereal bottle but never from a spoon. It seems he is not fond of the work involved in pushing your food back with your tongue! At first he pierced his lips shut!! He wanted NOTHING to do with whatever we were wanting him to do!
After many attempts and pretty much prying his mouth open, he got a taste of the banana baby food and "sort of" opened up. In the end, he received his milk bottle!
He showed her his favorite game--
"you put whatever you want on my table and I will push it off"

always remember to check both cameras

I realize that I am behind on the blog--- it's been a crazy couple of weeks! I went to see if I had any "Eli pics" on what we call the "big camera" and sure enough-- I had a few! Well, the pics were from Eli's first camping trip back at the first of February..... a couple were so cute and I know that Eli's uncle Jamie would love to see them! So here they are!

Sitting by myself.....

Eli has wanted to sit up since he was 2 weeks old! He doesn't like to lay back unless you have a bottle, a paci, or he is ready to sleep. He sat up by himself for the massage therapist at Mommy's chiropractor the other day. Here we are practicing at home. What I am not showing is the picture that Daddy took when Eli fell over and Mommy failed to catch him! I was so excited about how long he sat up that I didn't reach out to catch the leaning tower of Eli! oops! He's okay-- no worries!
Eli is growing and changing every day. I cannot wait until the summer time break to spend every moment with him.
Eli has always loved his Daddy and shared a special smile with him.... but lately, I have noticed a deeper bond between the two. When Daddy walks in the room and Eli sees him, his whole face lights up. Mommy is still his first love, but Daddy definitely has a special place in his heart. Watching the two of them together, melts my heart.
keep on practicin'

1st Valentines Day

We had Megan and BJ over for a Friendship Valentines Dinner.
Eli was intrigued by BJ and couldn't take his eyes off of him! BJ and Eli
Me and Meg-- we were roommates when I met Jeramy. I remember her telling me "if you pass this one up, you are stupid!" Glad I listened to her!
Eli and his Daddy on Friday before Valentines Day. He wore his Valentines outfit for his party at daycare. He received a couple of Valentines from friends in his class as well as a cute pair of socks and sunglasses from his daycare ladies. Eli made mommy a heart with his hand print and a poem. It was the best ever!
Thank you Nanna for the cute Valentines "mail" outfit!
Eli received his Valentines card from Grams, Papa James, and Uncle Jamie. Look at his eyes! He was really into the colors on the card!
A Valentines from Nanna and Pops to mark his first Valentines Day. This is one of Nanna's favorite holidays.
