Growing up so fast....

Eli has been calling me "Momma" for several months now. This past week, he decided that he was a big boy, and now calls me "Mom." I keep correcting him..... but it doesn't always work!
He also pulls up my shirt and rubs my belly...last night even said "baby" while doing so. It was the sweetest moment! My little baby is becoming my little man..... all too soon!

Eli follows me around the house yelling "Mom!" and "helps" with chores like laundry.... as I separate the colors and the whites into piles, he moves them as well. On Saturday, he helped me carry a load of laundry to the laundry room. Well... he carried it to Daddy's office and I had to get them. Hey, he made it from our bedroom to the front of the house... I was impressed! Close enough!

This weekend, we got Eli his very own Christmas tree. It is set up in the living room. He is allowed to pull on it, play with the plastic ornaments, and hang out by it all that he wants. So far it has worked as far as keeping him away from Momma's tree that is in our entryway. I keep telling Daddy that Aiden will need his own tree as well next year. Daddy is not too keen on that idea!

This is our last week of school for the fall semester, so Eli and Momma will be home next week preparing for Christmas. I am really looking forward to watching him explore the world and grow as a little tot. He definitely gives me challenges with patience at times, but all well worth it!
This week, Eli will be delivering a Christmas gift to Sarah, his girlfriend from daycare. He is super in love! Honestly.... I am too! She is so precious and sweet!

Big and Little Brother....

I realize that I need to post our Thanksgiving adventure, but I want to give you all an update on Eli's running around and little brother's Name Game.
Eli has changed and grown so much in the last few weeks. It makes me sad to see him develop new skills and become more of a little tot than a baby. To me, he will always be my baby boy. Eli has developed attitude, opinions, throwing fits, throwing things, and almost a run-walk. He is getting more and more steady on his feet on different terrains. He is always on the go and examining/discovering as much as he can. I love watching him fiddle with a toy or a box... or just about anything. It's amazing how much we all take for granted. Eli finds joy and adventure in everything he touches. He looks for new ways for things to open, more noises, more textures. The world is so big and full of surprises and adventures, and here we are ignoring it. I am trying to enjoy all the little moments that I get with Eli because it all goes by so fast and I am learning so much from him.
Little Brother News:
The Name Game is officially over..... Moffitt Baby #2 has a name!
Aiden Kyle Moffitt
We can't wait to meet our new little bundle in April!
Eli trying to get Miss Hailey to come downstairs and play... "just jump over the gate!"
For whatever reason, this pic wouldn't upload at the right angle. I tried several times..... Eli is sitting on little brother Aiden's quilt.
Aiden's bedding is the Pottery Barn Island Surf Collection.
This is the view that we get of Eli every evening... always on the run!!

Same Day... More Adventure

After the Children's Festival, we went home for a good nap. Once we all woke, we headed for the Old Town Spring Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Eli and Mommy waiting anxiously for the lights to be turned on....
Santa came to visit Old Town Spring and Eli and Mommy stopped for a photo shoot!
Eli snuggled his Daddy... Eli was telling me, "they better hurry and turn on those Christmas lights or else!!"
Tadah!! Let the holiday shopping begin!!
Well... the night wasn't over...
To end our day of adventures, we went to meet Nanna and family (and Auntie Di and Uncie Joe) for dinner to celebrate Mommy's and Joe's birthday.
Whew..... what a day! We all slept great that night!

The Woodlands Children's Festival

On November 14th we went to the Woodlands Children's Festival with the Beebe's. None of us had never been before-- it was so much fun! There were shows on the stage with Barney and Handy Manny, arts and crafts booths, as well as play booths. It will definitely be on the agenda next year as well. This was my (Mommy's) birthday weekend so I requested a day with my boys and geared towards Eli having fun. Man... what a difference in the way I use to celebrate my birthdays!
Eli really enjoyed watching the Barney Show! We are not Barney TV watchers, but this show was actually fun. Eli was dancing like a crazy man!
Morgan joined in on the dancing and fun...
Eli was very curious about Smokey the Bear.
I will go ahead and apologise... the pics went out of order again!
I think I loaded too many for the blog at once!

Jarret and Miller Beebe

This was our first attempt of getting Eli's face painted. (baseball) He did really well and loved the feel of the brush against his cheek. However, as soon as she was finished, Eli rubbed his face against my shoulder....oops!
Back to the Barney Show..... Eli loved watching Barney. He was in awe at first and then became all smiles and giggles....
Close encounter with Smokey the Bear
Eli received a maraca from TX Children's Hospital and Pediatrics group. What fun!!
Eli and Morgan in the inflatable throne... he wasn't too happy to share it with a girl... haha!
This was a hilarious car! It had 250 singing fish and lobsters singing. Check out the website

Eli got a second face painting by the end of the day. This time it was a football. He really enjoyed the paintbrush strokes against his face. It was past nap time and oh... it felt so relaxing! When the girl was finished, he leaned into her hand for her to do it some more.
Is this a sweet and sleepy baby boy, or what?!
After the Fest, we headed to eat lunch and then to the Waterway Splash area.
Eli and Morgan stripped to their undies and had a wonderful time in the water!
